Random Picture #93

There are so many Christmas and holiday-themed snacks around that I have a ton of pictures that will never see the light of this web site. It seems that every year there is just a little more Christmas in Japan and I really am happy to see it. Yes, I know it's all crass commercialism, but I try to look at the positive side of it; there are more shiny, pretty packages with warm holiday themes.

That being said, though I love the package design on these 350 ml. (about the size of a can) Coke offerings, I can't bring myself to buy them. They're called "splash balls" and are meant to resemble the bulbs on a Christmas tree and they are a cute concept, but ultimately bad value when you can find a 500 ml. bottle for as little as 78 yen at places like Seiyu (99 cents).

Very cute Christmas Coke. It does look a lot like a Christmas Tree bulbs and looks pretty small, so surprised to hear they are 350ml, which is about the size of a coke can.

Surprisingly, I think the ones in the US are a little more kawaii this year. They feature the polar bear with this goofy grin on his face. It isn't often that the US beats out Japan in cuteness quotient!

Polar bears! So cute. I once lugged home liter after liter of Diet Coke because it had little polar bear Christmas ornaments on it... and I had a bad back at the time!

It is very convenient for me not to carry so heavy drink.
When I want to something to drink outdoor but not to have a large bag, at that time, this type of cute and round bottle is convenient for me. I drink cora after that, I use recycle. Put another drink to carry somewhere I want. I like this type of bottle very much.
